Continuing Their Legacy: Education for the Children of Fallen Civil Defence Heroes

Continuing Their Legacy:

Education for the Children of Fallen Civil Defence Heroes

On November 14, 2024, six Lebanese Civil Defence rescue workers were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Central Civil Defence station in Baalbek. These brave men—fathers, husbands, and community leaders—gave their lives while saving others. They leave behind families now navigating life without them.

The Lebanese Civil Defense (الدفاع المدني اللبناني) is a public emergency service that responds to natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Its dedicated members perform essential patient transportation, search and rescue, and firefighting. Tragically, many volunteers and members lose their lives while serving.

How You Can Help
